 Great value for the price July 24, 2010

I needed a simple DVD player (nothing fancy) for one of my smaller televisions and this Toshiba does everything I need. One of the bet values you will find for a low cost DVD player.

After six months of use, all dvds ceased to be played, indeed not a good attribute for a dvd player. The stop button was unable to actually stop the sensor where it would need to be in order to actually restart where you stopped. Poorly engineered from top to bottom with a 90 day warranty so nobody will claim any responsibility for this heap at this point. Toshiba should pay a fine for the prematurely junked pile of these things that must exist somewhere. First and last Toshiba anything!

I bought this DVD player because I needed something to replace my DVD player which just wasn't working anymore. This one works great, has good sound quality (although I don't have a fancy setup, so I can't speak to how it sounds on a home entertainment system).

I gave this one to my daughter-in-law and she loves it. Now I have to buy me another one. I have no complaints. The cost was great and it plays all of DVD's like I had spent much more money. It is very clear, has the rewind, and everything the expensive ones have. The only thing is that it is very long and I thought it was shorter in length. Other than that it is great.
