| Customer Reviews: Matt Smith and Karen Gillian Rock! August 26, 2010 Cindy (San Francisco Bay Area) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the Best Doctor Who series ever!
Matt Smith is Doctor Who Eleven and Karen Gillian is the new companion.
This series rocks in every way, the acting, the music, the costumes, the creatures, the special effects, the writing, the directing, everything! This series is exciting, fun, scary, mysterious, heart breaking and life affirming. You will laugh and cry. This is the best of the best! This is smart, you'll learn something, you'll feel something, television.
Matt Smith is marvelous! He plays the Doctor like he's a hip, rock star, mad scientist. He is the best Doctor ever! He makes the part his own, and makes you forget about all the previous Doctors. His predecessors are great too, but he has quickly become my favorite. Smith has so much fun with the part. He's awesome, he's on fire!
Karen Gillian is both beautiful and smart. She's the Doctor's partner and she's no dummy! Her character Amy Pond is smart, fun, brave, and a hero in her own right! She is independent. She isn't the damsel in distress, she isn't arm candy. She's the best female character in science fiction since Princess Leia. Yes, she is that kick-ass awesome!
This series should be enjoyed from the beginning, because each episode builds on the last. This is comedy, mystery, horror, fantasy, fairy tale, romantic drama, and science fiction. This series will appeal to everyone.
This is for everyone, not just fan boys and fan girls.
