Amazon clearly knew that there was a market for cheap cables and capitalized on it. And they did a great job -- this cable is solid and the price is right. With really cheap cables you worry about the trustworthiness of the seller and the consistency of quality between $0.01 HDMI cables with $5 shipping...
And as for frustration-free packaging, yes, it's frustration-free, but it's also a waste of cardboard. Perhaps you guys could be a little more minimalist about it?
Either way, awesome product, I'm just nit-picking :)

Needed this product for my Sony Bravia 40" HD tv and Blu-Ray Home Surround System. Worked great and low cost.

I just setup a large Home Theater system. I did have a different brand of optical cable I picked up at Box Store Haredware Company for around the same price. I compaired the two and this one is definitely better. This cable locks in place where if you plan on moving the system cabinet often, the non locking cable can slip out.

A cable is a cable, right? For some audiophiles, that's not the case. And if I had a super high-end home theatre, I might not think so either. But for my meager needs (amateur home theatre) this cable fit the bill exactly. Can't go wrong with this cable, in my view, unless you are SUPER sensitive to sound quality (which I am not).
