| Customer Reviews: Best strings I ever had July 14, 2010 Gabriel Mautner (WESTON, FLORIDA, US) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This strings are just perfect if you are looking for a darker sound. My violin is 100 years old and I have tried several strings on it. These Red Infeld strings have been the best so far. The sound is clear and projects very well, and it has a very reach and warm tone.
Highly recommend these!
Tried many other brands, settled on this April 8, 2010 J. CHEN (broomfield, Colorado) My daughter has been a student for 8 years. With her advancing skill level, we are upgrading her hardware as well. We found that after trials of a few other famous brands, Infeld Red sounds the best fit on her Scott Cao violin.
violin strings September 23, 2009 rr (rocklin california) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love the rich warm tones of the Infeld Red strings. My violin tends to sound overly bright and loud - the use of the Infeld red brings a more mellow sound - saves me always having to use a mute. They are the only strings I use now.
Warm, big strings January 18, 2009 Sheila (Chicago) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I used to use Dominants, but I tried these when they first came out and never went back. They are very big and warm but still really project and have a focused sound. If your E breaks, Lenzner Goldbrokat sounds good with the others.
Brings out the Dark Side of your violin August 30, 2007 C. Chu 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Infeld Reds were designed to bring out the darker side of your violin, and to be used on bright squeaky fiddles. I would tend to agree with this, but found them too mellow for my violins. They adjust well to humidity and temperature changes, and settle in quickly. The gold plated e is there to give it a nice round ringing tone, however it causes the price to be higher than the Blue set.
